C-Urge’s success pivots on close collaborations with the non-academic sector, in particular with non-profit organisations whose work deals with climate-related topics. The network of Associated Partners is enmeshed with the training program in five comprehensive ways: (1) sites of secondment for the Doctoral Candidates, (2) experts during workshops and trainings, (3) additional non-academic Supervisors of the Doctoral candidates, (4) as gateways to disseminate the research findings and expertise of the consortium, and (5) stepping stones for the Doctoral candidates to transition from academia to the non-academic sector as experts on climate related topics.
