C-URGE Midterm event and Training Week in Catania

The C-URGE project held an exceptional encounter in Catania at the beginning of September, bringing together all doctoral candidates (DCs) and supervisors, along with one representative from our associated partner Impact Hub and one member of the Advisory Board. For one week of shared learning and collaboration, participants gathered on board the Ermenautica and during two days of conference sessions hosted by the University of Catania.

This encounter offered a unique and vital opportunity to strengthen the network’s scientific dialogue and to re-examine the methodologies, positionalities, and outcomes of our shared research endeavour. The programme combined workshops designed and led by the DCs, sessions facilitated by supervisors, presentations by the crew of the Ermenautica, and workshops organised by Impact Hub’s representatives, fostering exchange, reflection, and creative collaboration across disciplines and experiences.
